My key research and business interests include image processing, pattern recognition,
computer vision and machine learning techniques applied to a wide range of domains,
from biology, medicine and engineering to arts & humanities.
I lead a one of the largest, most diverse and dynamic research groups within Durham
University. Our research and impact activities are supported by UK/EU research funding
bodies and by a wide range of industrial partners, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever,
Microsoft, IBM, Google, Nikon, Boeing, NVIDIA, AstraZeneca, Dyson, and Boots.
I am a founder of the Intogral Limited, a Durham University's artificial intelligence spin-out
that creates value from the research and development of AI solutions for complex multi-
type multi-dimensional data analytics.
